Job summary

Spencer Hospital in Spencer, IA is seeking an ICU/ED Registered Nurse to deliver individualized care using the nursing process. The role includes coordinating with the nursing team to ensure safety and quality in a high-acuity setting.

The hospital, with 500+ staff, offers in-house education, competitive wages, benefits, and a rotating 12-hour shift schedule (days/nights, weekends, holidays). IA RN license and BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC are required; new grads are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Must be a caring communicator, flexible, able to multitask and be comfortable with technological systems.
• IA RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC required - inhouse education available upon hire.
• One year of Medical/Surgical preferred or critical care experience.
• New grads with a strong desire for critical care are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care in the ICU and Emergency Departments
• Assumes the responsibility for the outcome of nursing care during a specified work period
• Collaborates with all available nursing personnel to provide total patient care
• Must have knowledge of and utilize appropriate age-related patient protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of patients

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care in the ICU and Emergency Departments

• 72 hours a pay period
• Day/Night/Weekend/Holiday Rotation
