Job summary

HAN Staff is seeking a Registered Nurse in Walla Walla, Washington. The role offers local pay and W2 employment, with shifts across multiple times.

You will deliver high-quality patient care in a correctional healthcare setting, coordinating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate holds a WA RN license, has at least 1 year of recent RN experience, and maintains required certifications (BLS, immunizations, TB tests).

Qualifications

• Active Washington RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience within the last 3 years.
• Copy of PSV from the licensing board or verification agency if required.
• Copy of current required certifications (e.g., BLS, fit test, immunization records).

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ health conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergencies.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other procedures within scope of practice.
• Maintain EMR accuracy and timeliness.

Registered Nurse (RN) Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety and quality outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted Washington license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a RN within the last 3 years.
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test,...).
