Job summary

HAN Staff seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Connell, Washington team. Local pay is $62.00/hour with W2 status, plus travel pay options that total approximately $2,700 overall compensation.

Join a correctional healthcare setting to provide direct patient care, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and patient education. Shift is 2:00pm–10:30pm with some days off, and a comprehensive benefits package is optional.

Qualifications

• Current, valid Washington LPN license in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year of LPN experience within the last 3 years.
• PSV from licensing board or equivalent, if required.
• BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, etc.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN or physician supervision.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and record patients' vital signs and report changes.
• Assist with assessments and implement care plans.
• Perform wound care and specimen collection.
• Document care in EMR.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Maintain a safe, clean, therapeutic environment.

Travel Pay:

Travel Rate (based on 40 hours): Hourly $29.70, Stipend (Lodging $910.00 + M&I $602.00) = $1,512.00,

Total Comp: $2,700.00

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and record patients' vital signs and report changes in condition.
• Assist with patient assessments and implement individualized care plans.
• Perform wound care, specimen collection, and other basic nursing procedures.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and treatment plans.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients.
• Follow facility policies, infection control protocols, and regulatory standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted Washington license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a LPN within the last 3 years.
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., . BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test,... ) .
