Job summary

HAN Staff is seeking a Registered Nurse to join a correctional health care team in Buena Vista, CO. This position offers local pay of $65/hour (W2) and 10-hour shifts, focusing on high‑quality, patient‑centered care in a secure facility.

Applicants must hold a CO RN license, have at least 1 year of RN experience, and be capable of EMR documentation, med administration, and collaborative patient care with the medical team.

Responsibilities

Shift Details:

• 10 hour shifts

Registered Nurse (RN) Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

• Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.

• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.

• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.

• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.

• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety and quality outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted CO license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

• Minimum of 1 year/s of recent experience as a Registered Nurse within the last 3 years.

• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., . BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test,...)
