Shift Details:
- Two 8 hour shifts and two 12 hour shifts weekly, hours will vary anywhere from 0700-2300.
- Weekends will be every other weekend,
- Holidays as necessary
Nursing Specialty: RN Corrections
Registered Nurse (RN) Duties & Responsibilities:
- Works independently in a clinic setting where a provider may not always be on-site.
- Assesses patients using the nursing process and manages acute, chronic, and terminal conditions within scope of practice.
- Monitors and reports changes in patients' physical or mental health and reactions to treatments or medications.
- Administers medications, vaccines, and IM/SubQ injections safely according to provider orders and medication rights.
- Processes medication refills and accurately transcribes provider orders.
- Assesses health concerns, implements appropriate interventions, and follows established nursing protocols.
- Performs point-of-care testing, specimen collection, and phlebotomy.
- Leads emergency response and provides appropriate interventions in accordance with BLS standards.
- Delegates and oversees tasks performed by licensed and unlicensed personnel within their scope of practice.
- Provides patient education on medications, diagnoses, treatments, and individualized care plans.
- Accurately documents all patient care, interventions, and encounters in the electronic health record.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current, valid, and unrestricted CA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
- Minimum of one (1) year related experience within the last 3 years
- Valid BLS
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
- Additional certifications may be required
- Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
- Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements)
