Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. in Denver, Colorado, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join a correctional healthcare team.

You will assess patients, administer medications, coordinate care, and document EMR entries, delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in a secure environment. The role offers $65 per hour on a W2 basis, shift Fri–Sun 8:00 am–9:00 pm, competitive benefits including health/dental/vision/life and a 401(k), plus travel stipends for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted CO license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1 year/s of recent experience as a RN within the last 3 years.
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test,...)

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety and quality outcomes.
