Job summary

Health Advocates Network is hiring a Registered Nurse in Franklin, WI. The role involves 12-hour night shifts (18:00–06:30) with rotating weekends, providing direct patient care in a correctional healthcare setting and delivering medications, assessments, and care coordination.

Qualifications

• Current, valid WI license/certification in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year of recent nursing experience (within last 3 years).
• Copy of PSV from licensing board or verification agency if required.
• Copy of required certifications and compliance documents (BLS, TB screening, Hepatitis B status, and rubella/rubeola/varicella vaccination or titers).

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other procedures within scope of practice.

Local Pay: $52.50/hour

Travel Package

Travel Rate (based on 36 hours): Hourly $20.91, Stipend (Lodging $938.00 + M&I $399.00) = $1,337.00

Total Comp: $2,089.76

Travel Eligibility: Candidates must live at least 50+ miles from the facility to qualify for Travel Pay.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety and quality outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted WI license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1 yearof recent experience within the last 3 years.
• Copy of current, completedPrimary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (Healthcare Provider BLS certification; TB screening with negative PPD, QuantiFERON-TB Gold, or T-SPOT results; Hepatitis B Consent/Declination Form; and proof of Rubella, Rubeola, and Varicella vaccination or titers ).
