Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse in Indianapolis, Indiana. Local pay is $52.50 per hour (W2), with travel pay eligibility and comprehensive benefits.

Day and night shifts on 12-hour rotations are available in a correctional healthcare setting. Applicants must hold an Indiana RN license, have 1+ year of RN experience in the last 3 years, and provide PSV if required, plus current BLS, N95, immunization, and TB documentation.

Qualifications

• Current, valid IN RN license in good standing.
• 1+ year RN experience within the last 3 years.
• PSV verification from licensing authority if required.
• Copies of BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, etc.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor progress and document assessments, interventions, outcomes.
• Coordinate with physicians and healthcare teams.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, plans, meds, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain EMR accuracy and compliance with policies.

Travel Pay

Travel Rate (based on 36 hours): Hourly $27.56, Stipend (Lodging $714.00 + M&I $315.00) = $1,029.00,

Total Comp: $2,021.26

Travel Eligibility: Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for Travel Pay.

Shift Details:

• Day & Night Shift

Registered Nurse (RN) Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety and quality outcomes

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted IN license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1+ year within the last 3 years of recent experience as a RN
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., . BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test,).
