Health Advocates Network, Inc. in Morganton, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care in a correctional healthcare setting. You will assess patients, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care.

Candidates must hold an active NC RN license with BLS, provide required PSV documentation, and commit to night shifts on a 12-hour schedule. Local pay is $53.00 per hour on a W-2 basis.

Qualifications

• Active NC RN license in good standing and BLS certification.
• 1+ year of RN experience within the last 3 years.
• Copy of PSV as required by licensing board or agency.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor progress and document assessments and outcomes.
• Coordinate with physicians and healthcare teams to plan care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, plans, meds, and discharge.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and emergencies.
• Perform wound care and IV therapy within scope.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and infection control.
• Maintain accurate EMR records.

Shift Details:

• 12hr
• Night shift - 36/48 weekly

** Registered Nurse (RN) Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety and quality outcomes.

**Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestrictedNC license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1+ year of recent experience as aRN within the last 3 years.
• Copy of current, completedPrimary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test,).
