Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in Buena Vista, Colorado to provide patient-centered care in a correctional healthcare setting.

The role requires a current CO RN license and at least 1 year of recent experience, with duties including medication administration, care planning, and collaboration with medical teams. Shifts are 10 hours long, and benefits include health/dental/vision insurance, a 401(k), and travel stipends.

Qualifications

• Active Colorado RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience within the last 3 years.
• PSV (Primary Source Verification) from the licensing board or verification agency may be required.
• Current certifications (e.g., BLS, etc.) and compliance documents as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and emergencies promptly.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.
• Maintain accurate and timely EMR entries and records.

Registered Nurse (RN) Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety and quality outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestrictedCO license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1 year/s of recent experience as a Registered Nurse within the last 3 years.
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., . BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test,...)
