Presbyterian Healthcare Services seeks a Mother-Baby Nurse (RN) to monitor postpartum mothers and newborns, provide education on newborn care, and support bonding and breastfeeding in a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

The role is a full-time 0.90 FTE with 12-hour night shifts in Albuquerque, NM, offering educational and career development options, benefits, and eligibility for sign-on and relocation bonuses.

Formación

• Associate Degree in Nursing (RN) required
• State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
• BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire

Responsabilidades

• Provide comprehensive care to postpartum mothers and their newborns, including physical assessments, monitoring vital signs, and addressing medical concerns.
• Educate new parents on infant care, breastfeeding, and postpartum self-care.
• Assist with initiating and maintaining breastfeeding, offering guidance and addressing challenges.
• Monitor mothers for signs of postpartum complications, such as infection, bleeding, or mood disorders, and intervene as needed.
• Observe and assess newborns for jaundice, feeding difficulties, or other health concerns.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians; respond to emergencies as needed.
