Job summary

CommuniCare Health Services in Beckley, WV is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as RN Staff Development Coordinator and CNA Instructor for Beckley Healthcare Center. You will coordinate Nurse Aide training classes, develop teaching materials and manuals, organize annual state-mandated inservicing, and lead staff education to build the most skilled nursing team in the state.

• Must possess a current RN license in the state where the center is located.
• Experience in staff development in long-term care desirable.
• Maintain “Train The Trainer” certificate for CNA training.
• Prior supervisory experience, preferably in a long-term care center.
• Prior work/life experiences, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate/conduct Nurse Aide training classes and testing and maintain all required documentation.
• Develop materials, manuals, and teaching aides and maintain resource library
• Coordinate annual State-mandated inservicing for all employees
• Coordinate State-mandated training hours for all CNA’s
• Participate in QI meetings to ensure staff training in identified areas of weakness.
• Develop, implement, and maintain an effective orientation program.
• Conduct/coordinate skills testing.
