Job summary

Keyser Healthcare Center, part of CommuniCare Health Services, is seeking an experienced RN to serve as Staff Development Coordinator. If you enjoy educating your nursing team and advancing clinical skills, this role offers an opportunity to lead training programs and ensure compliance across shifts in a busy long-term care setting.

You will coordinate nurse aide trainings, develop teaching materials, and drive orientation and ongoing in-service sessions.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license in the state where the center is located.
• Prior healthcare experience, preferably in long-term care.
• Maintain Train The Trainer certificate for STNA training.
• Prior staff development experience in LTC desirable.
• Prior supervisory experience, preferably in a long-term care center.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate/conduct Nurse Aide training classes and testing and maintain all required documentation.
• Develop materials, manuals, and teaching aides and maintain resource library.
• Coordinate annual State-mandated inservicing for all employees.
• Coordinate State-mandated training hours for all STNA's.
• Participate in QI meetings to identify areas for staff training and improve the program.
• Develop, implement, and maintain an effective orientation program.
• Conduct/coordinate skills testing.
