Job summary

CommuniCare Health Services is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as RN Staff Development Coordinator / CNA Instructor for Beckley Healthcare Center in Beckley, WV. This role focuses on coordinating Nurse Aide training, developing teaching materials, and ensuring ongoing staff education and competency.

Ideal candidates will hold an active RN license in West Virginia, with background in long-term care, training credentials, and prior supervisory or staff development experience to

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license in the state where the center is located.
• Prior work/life experiences, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Maintain "Train The Trainer" certificate for CNA training.
• Prior experience in staff development in long term care desirable.
• Prior supervisory experience, preferably in a long-term care center.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate/conduct Nurse Aide training classes and testing and maintain all required documentation.
• Develop materials, manuals, and teaching aides and maintain resource library
• Coordinate annual State-mandated inservicing for all employees
• Coordinate State-mandated training hours for all CNA's
• Participate in QI meetings to ensure staff training in identified areas of weakness.
• Develop, implement, and maintain an effective orientation program.
• Conduct/coordinate skills testing.
