Job summary

CommuniCare Health Services in Beckley, WV is seeking an experienced RN Staff Development Coordinator / CNA Instructor for Beckley Healthcare Center. The role focuses on guiding Nurse Aide training, testing, and ongoing education to strengthen the facility's nursing team.

The ideal candidate will hold WV RN licensure, have prior long-term care staff development and supervisory experience, and maintain a Train The Trainer certificate for CNA training.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license in the state where the center is located.
• Maintain "Train The Trainer" certificate for CNA training.
• Prior experience in staff development in long term care desirable.
• Prior supervisory experience, preferably in a long-term care center.
• Prior work/life experiences, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate/conduct Nurse Aide training classes and testing and maintain all required documentation.
• Develop materials, manuals, and teaching aides and maintain resource library
• Coordinate annual State-mandated inservicing for all employees
• Coordinate State-mandated training hours for all CNA's
• Participate in QI meetings to ensure staff training in identified areas of weakness.
• Develop, implement, and maintain an effective orientation program.
• Conduct/coordinate skills testing.
