Job summary

Mercy Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – Clinical Supervisor for weekend coverage. The role focuses on directing safe, high‑quality care, staffing optimization, and collaboration with physicians and administrative leaders to improve processes across the care continuum.

The incumbent will supervise units, support patient flow and bed management with the Staffing Office, and mentor staff to promote professional growth aligned with Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with one of the listed nursing credentials.
• Must hold and maintain an RN license in Missouri or compact licensure.
• 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience.
• BLS certification required or to be completed within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, high-quality, cost-effective patient care by competent team members.
• Collaborate with physicians and administrative staff to improve processes across care continuum.
• Ensure units are appropriately staffed to provide patient care and monitor staffing levels.
• Involve in patient flow and bed management in collaboration with Staffing Office; lead change initiatives and mentor others.
