Job summary

Atrium Health Pineville is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join the GI/Colorectal Surgical Floor. The unit focuses on post-operative care for GI/colorectal surgeries, caring for patients with Crohn’s disease, diverticulitis, gallstones and other abdominal-related conditions.

The role requires RN licensure in the state, 6 months of RN experience, and BLS certification, with ACLS/PALS/PEARS possibly required within one year in certain areas.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with current RN licensure.
• Minimum 6 months RN experience; not for new grads.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/PEARS may be required within one year in select areas.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate referrals with Nurse Case Managers and Social Workers for home care related to chemotherapy and blood draws.
• Coordinate lab work, transfusions and growth factors for next treatment.
• Consult with Oncology Pharmacists and Attending Physicians on dosing and lab values.
• Schedule outpatient procedures and follow-up visits at Hematology/Oncology Clinic.
