Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to lead the nursing operations on a designated unit on site in Georgia. The role includes supervising daily care delivery and stepping in for the Manager or Director to assume 24-hour nursing responsibility when needed.

The ideal candidate holds a Georgia RN license (or NLC/eNLC), a BSN or higher, and BLS certification, with at least 3 years of clinical experience and at least 1 year in a specialty area.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR a Bachelor's degree or higher with two (2) years in clinical area and one (1) year in area of specialty.
• Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license.
• Must hold BLS certification.
• Color vision adequate for unit responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the nursing operations of a unit.
• In the absence of the Manager or Director, may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility.
• Work with a unit-specific patient population.

Responsibilities

The Clinical Supervisor is a member of the unit-based leadership team. Provides supervision of the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility. Works with a unit specific patient population.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.


• Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR


• Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty.


• Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license


• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).


• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

PREFERRED:

• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
