Job summary

Northside Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to lead nursing operations on a unit, ensuring 24-hour responsibility in the absence of the Manager or Director.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold a Georgia RN license (or multi-state), have ACLS/PALS preferred, and bring at least three years of clinical experience with one year in a specialty. Work hours are 1800–0630 with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Three years of clinical experience with at least one year in the specialty area.
• Georgia RN license or valid multi-state license (NLC/eNLC).
• Current BLS certification.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing with two years of experience in clinical area and one year in the specialty.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing operations on the unit and coordinate with leadership.
• Provide 24-hour nursing coverage in the absence of the Manager or Director.

Responsibilities

The Clinical Supervisor is a member of the unit-based leadership team. Provides supervision of the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility. Works with a unit specific patient population.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.


• Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR


• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty.


• Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license


• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).


• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

PREFERRED:

• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
