Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to join our unit-based leadership team in Atlanta. The role provides supervision of nursing operations, ensuring 24-hour coverage in the absence of the manager while coordinating care for a unit-specific patient population.

Work hours are 7AM-7PM with rotating weekend requirements; you will lead clinical staff, uphold patient safety, and promote evidence-based nursing practice in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Three years experience in clinical area with at least one year in area of specialty, OR a BSN with two years in clinical area with at least one year in specialty.
• Current Georgia RN license (or Multistate/NLC/eNLC).
• BLS certification required.
• Color vision adequate for role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing operations of the unit and ensure effective patient care delivery.
• In the absence of the Manager/Director, assume 24-hour nursing responsibility.
• Collaborate with leadership to coordinate staffing, policies, and clinical practice.

The Clinical Supervisor is a member of the unit-based leadership team. Provides supervision of the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility. Works with a unit specific patient population.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty.
• Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

PREFERRED:

• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
