Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Clinical Operations Coordinator, RN to supervise daily clinical operations across practice sites and lead clinical staff. The role supports scheduling, resource allocation, and service excellence while ensuring confidentiality and quality patient care.

Direct clinical care is limited to under 20% of time; strong communication, leadership, and adherence to ethics are essential to align with NM standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or certification in a clinical field.
• BSN or degree completion within two years of hire.
• Licensed registered nurse.
• Minimum of five years of clinical experience.
• Basic Life Support Certification from an American Heart Association accredited source.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the office’s clinical support staff, manage workload distribution and prioritization of tasks.
• Interviewing, hiring, training, progressive discipline, dismissals, and performance appraisals.
• Oversee day to day office clinical operations within budget guidelines.
• Manage providers schedule templates and optimize patient care hours to enhance productivity.
• Schedule staff and allocate resources to maximize patient access and satisfaction.
