Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Operations Coordinator Nurse to supervise daily operations across practice site(s) and oversee clinical and administrative staff. The role includes coordinating schedules, managing collections, and ensuring service excellence to optimize patient care hours.

The candidate will lead staff, participate in hiring and training, and enforce policies within budget constraints while maintaining patient dignity and data accuracy. CPR and RN license required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum three years in medical or related business.
• Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO, PPO, POS, Medicare, Medicaid).
• Strong understanding of patient flow and staff leadership.
• Experience with daily cash activity and reconciliation.
• Current RN license in state employed in; CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise clinical and clerical staff on site.
• Participate in hiring, training, and performance reviews.
• Oversee day-to-day operations within budget guidelines.
• Coordinate providers' schedules to optimize patient care hours.
• Schedule staff and allocate resources to maximize access and productivity.
• Oversee cash handling, co-pays, balances, and deposits.
• Ensure service excellence and perform service recovery when needed.
• Manage office and medical supplies within budget.
• Maintain data accuracy and training for data entry by staff.
• Lead staff meetings and participate in manager meetings.
