Job summary

MemorialCare Medical Group in Lakewood, CA is seeking an experienced Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for an outpatient Ob/Gyn and Family Medicine role. Expect 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with no after-hours call, in a 100% outpatient setting.

The candidate will perform histories and exams, provide prenatal care, and manage contraception needs while interpreting tests. California NP/PA licensure and NPI/DEA are required; WH certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in Women’s Health or related field as a NP or PA; 3+ years preferred
• 1+ year of obstetrics experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience highly preferred
• California NP or PA licensure required
• NPI and DEA numbers required
• BLS current
• Board certification in Women’s Health preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations
• Implant contraception (e.g., IUD placement, Nexplanon)
• See new OB patients and provide prenatal care throughout pregnancy
• Interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests

Base Salary Range*:$126,000 to $158,000

*The salary range above is an estimated annual base salary for a full-time position. Your Total Rewards would include a base salary plus performance-based incentives and other valuable benefits. Our compensation models utilize fair market value data specific to your specialty.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join MemorialCare’s growing Ob/Gyn and Family Medicine practice in Lakewood, CA.

Practice Information & Position Details

• Employment opportunity with MemorialCare Medical Group
• 100% Outpatient
• Hours of operation:Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
• No after hours call
• Average 15 to 21 patients per day
• EMR: Epic
• Perform comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations
• Implant contraception (e.g., IUD placement, Nexplanon, etc.)
• See new OB patients. Provide prenatal care throughout all stages of pregnancy.
• Interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests

Experience

• 1+ year of experience in Women’s Health or related field as a NP or PA; 3+ years preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in Obstetrics strongly preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR system highly preferred

Education & Licensure

• California Nurse Practitioner and Furnishing licensure or California Physician Assistant license
• Current, active, unrestricted licensure as an NP or PA
• Successful completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Board certification in Women’s Health (Preferred)
• Current BLS
• NPI and DEA
