Job summary

Genesis Administrative Services LLC in Fairmont, WV is seeking a Registered Nurse educator to lead staff education and ensure best practices in patient care.

You will develop education programs, supervise orientation, conduct competency testing, and oversee Employee Health activities including TB/Hepatitis vaccines and influenza immunizations.

Requires nursing degree and active RN license with strong clinical skills; gerontology and adult learning experience preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license and Nursing degree required.
• Minimum three years of full-time or equivalent clinical experience preferred.
• Two years of clinical experience in long-term care nursing with one year as an educator preferred.
• Excellence in clinical nursing skills required.
• Experience in Gerontology preferred.
• Training and/or experience in adult learning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Nursing.
• Develop education programs in response to staff needs and teach current patient care and nursing center practices.
• Supervise and monitor new nursing employees throughout orientation.
• Perform annual competency testing and evaluation and clinically appraise nursing staff performance to identify education needs.
• Oversee Employee Health Program for TB, vaccines, and influenza immunizations for all employees.
