Job summary

CommonSpirit Health in Colorado Springs is seeking an RN Clinical Coordinator to support the department director by coordinating clinical and department activities, acting as a vital resource and role model.

You will show clinical judgment, ensure high-quality care, link physicians and the patient care team, authorize procedures, assign duties, manage shift as charge, and actively take patient assignments based on acuity, promoting patient well-being and ethical practice.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing or by endorsement
• One year of clinical RN experience
• RN license to practice in state of employment as applicable
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred)
• Nursing specialty certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records & clinical data. Evaluates patient’s response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient outcome.
• Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provides leadership, support, and coordination of unit’s daily operations during designated shift.
• Assists in directing, organizing, and prioritizing all shift activities ensuring patient care and staff needs are met.
• Ensures appropriateness of admissions/cases to the unit/department and that appropriate staff skill mix exists to provide safe patient care.
• Liaison to the multidisciplinary patient care team.
