Required Experience and Education
- Registered Nurse Education
- Current Texas license or Certification in Childbirth Education
- CPR certification (every two years) from AHA or ARC
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of mother and baby, Labor and Delivery, or childbirth education experience
Job Duties
- Develop, plan, teach, and evaluate parent education classes, adjusting as needed
- Be punctual and assist clients with questions about classes and delivery
- Prepare and organize equipment and materials for classes
- Complete client evaluations and maintain high client satisfaction
- Stay updated on childbirth trends and incorporate new material into classes
- Attend educator meetings and complete required modules
- Perform other duties as assigned
