Required Experience and Education

• Registered Nurse Education
• Current Texas license or Certification in Childbirth Education
• CPR certification (every two years) from AHA or ARC
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of mother and baby, Labor and Delivery, or childbirth education experience

Job Duties

• Develop, plan, teach, and evaluate parent education classes, adjusting as needed
• Be punctual and assist clients with questions about classes and delivery
• Prepare and organize equipment and materials for classes
• Complete client evaluations and maintain high client satisfaction
• Stay updated on childbirth trends and incorporate new material into classes
• Attend educator meetings and complete required modules
• Perform other duties as assigned
