Abbott’s Diagnostics family of businesses brings together exceptional teams of experts and industry-leading technologies. In this role, you will provide personalized Face-to-Face training to Acelis Connected Health’s home testing customers on obtaining a finger stick blood sample, operating the PT/INR products, and reporting responsibilities. The position of trainer is per-diem and specific to certain states and cities.

This job description will be reviewed periodically and is subject to change by management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Remotely set up training appointments directly with the customer/caregiver.
2. Travel to the customer's home within the general geographic area of the Trainer's residence.
3. Demonstrate and instruct the customer and/or their caregiver on the proper use and care of PT/INR equipment.
4. Explain test reporting options.
5. Communicate professionally and present oneself well.
6. Accurately document and electronically submit patient training records.
7. Maintain communication with Acelis Connected Health via cell phone, email, and internet.
8. Use secure encrypted email for communications involving customers' PHI.
9. Have reliable transportation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION:

1. Current Registered Nurse with clinical experience.
2. Experience or exposure to anticoagulation management or homecare is preferred.
3. Health education training experience is a plus.
4. No lifting over 15 pounds without assistance.

COMPETENCIES/EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

1. Completion of required educational prerequisites.
2. Proof of health screening documentation.
3. Participation in web-based and interactive training provided by Acelis Connected Health.
4. Successful completion of background check and pre-employment drug screening.
5. Proficiency with computers and smart devices.
6. Ability to troubleshoot basic website and application issues using smart devices.
7. Travel of at least 100 miles roundtrip is required.
8. For Florida trainers: an additional background check step is required.

The base pay for this position is $22.15 – $44.35 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
