EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Required

• Education: Registered Nurse Education
• Licenses and Certifications: (CCE/CBE) Certified Childbirth Educator with a current Texas license or certification in Childbirth Education, CPR (every two years), and BLS accredited by AHA or ARC

Preferred

• 1-2 years of mother and baby, Labor and Delivery, or childbirth education experience

JOB DUTIES

• Develops course content, plans, teaches, and evaluates classes, adjusting to group needs
• Ensures punctuality and assists clients with questions related to class and delivery
• Prepares and organizes equipment and materials, maintaining a neat area
• Submits client evaluations after each class
• Maintains high client satisfaction, seeking assistance for educational issues
• Stays updated on trends in childbirth and client options, documenting ongoing education
• Completes required modules, attends educator meetings, and incorporates new material
• Performs other duties as assigned
