About Abbott

Abbott’s Diagnostics family of businesses brings together exceptional teams of experts and industry-leading technologies. In this role, you will provide personalized face-to-face training to Acelis Connected Health’s home testing customers on obtaining a finger stick blood sample, operating the PT/INR products, and reporting responsibilities. The position of trainer is per-diem and specific to the state and city.

This job description will be reviewed periodically and is subject to change by management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Remotely set up training appointments directly with customers or caregivers.
• Travel to the customer's home within the general geographic area of the trainer's residence.
• Demonstrate and instruct customers and/or caregivers on the proper use and care of PT/INR equipment.
• Explain test reporting options.
• Present oneself professionally.
• Accurately document and submit patient training records electronically.
• Maintain communication with Acelis Connected Health via cell phone, email, and internet.
• Use secure encrypted email for communication involving customers' PHI.
• Have reliable transportation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION:

• Must have clinical experience; current Registered Nurse licensure required.
• Experience/exposure to anticoagulation management or homecare preferred.
• Health education training experience is a plus.
• No lifting over 15 pounds without assistance.

COMPETENCIES/EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

• Completion of educational prerequisites.
• Proof of health screening documentation.
• Web-based and interactive training provided by Acelis Connected Health.
• Successful completion of background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Proficiency in computer and smart device use.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic website and application issues on smart devices.
• Travel of at least 100 miles roundtrip required.
• For Florida trainers: additional background check step required.

The base pay for this position ranges from $22.15 to $44.35 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary.
