Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a Nurse Educator to lead childbirth education classes for expectant families. The RN will assess educational needs and deliver evidence-based content to diverse learners.

You will use PowerPoint and both virtual and in-person formats, maintain class records, and stay current with newborn care, breastfeeding, and Safe Sleep guidelines.

A minimum of 1 year teaching experience and an RN license (BLS, CLC/CBC preferred) are required; bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to convey evidence-based childbirth education content to diverse learners.
• Must meet educational needs of participants in classes.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional standards.
• Keep class materials accurate and up-to-date with current guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate information about childbirth education topics.
• Use teaching techniques related to childbirth preparation, breastfeeding, infant care, and Safe Sleep.
• Discuss Infant Safe Sleep guidelines in all classes.
• Ensure sessions are engaging and tailored to families' needs.
• Maintain attendance and participate in staff development programs.
