Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Certification in childbirth education or an appropriate specialty area.
• MSN in education (preferred).
• Bi-lingual (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Teach perinatal classes based on approved department curriculum.
• Disseminate accurate, evidence-based information on pregnancy, childbirth, infant care, parenting, and family life.
• Apply adult learning theory and adaptive teaching strategies to engage learners.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment and respect diverse backgrounds.
• Coordinate class calendars, handle records and payments as directed.
