The role applies nursing principles and supports evidence-based practices within a high‑quality maternity program. The ideal candidate will hold LPN or RN licensure in Florida, be Certified in Childbirth Education, and have at least two years of experience as a childbirth educator in an acute care

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing school; LPN/RN licensure in Florida preferred.
• Experience / Qualifications: Current LPN/RN licensure in FL; BLS through AHA; Certified in Childbirth Education; 2 years as a childbirth educator in an acute setting.

Responsabilités

• The Child Birth Educator provides education to prenatal and/or postpartum patients and their families.
• Provides ongoing education for patients and nursing staff.
• Applies nursing process and theories, and principles of psycho-social and physical sciences; practices autonomously within nursing standards.
