AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a Nurse Educator to lead childbirth education classes for expectant families. The RN will assess educational needs and deliver evidence-based content to diverse learners.

You will use PowerPoint and both virtual and in-person formats, maintain class records, and stay current with newborn care, breastfeeding, and Safe Sleep guidelines.

A minimum of 1 year teaching experience and an RN license (BLS, CLC/CBC preferred) are required; bachelor's degree is preferred.

Job Description

• Provides accurate and consistent information to participants regarding childbirth education.
• Uses various teaching techniques related to childbirth preparation, breastfeeding, infant care, maternal/infant support, and Safe Sleep practices.
• Discusses Infant Safe Sleep guidelines in all classes.
• Ensures class content is accurate and evidence-based.
• Meets the educational needs of participants.
• Educates the community about childbirth education.
• Maintains satisfactory participation and attendance at meetings and staff development programs.
• Adheres to hospital confidentiality policy.
• Keeps supplies clean and orderly.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Maternal/Newborn or Labor and Delivery Experience [Preferred]

Pay Range

Pay Range: $34.32 - $63.84
