Qualifications

• Certified in Childbirth Education or area of instruction.
• RN license in New Jersey.
• Ability to teach groups of 20–25 individuals.
• Weekend and weekday evening availability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Parent Education Classes. Spanish Speaking Required
• Provide department secretary with available dates to teach classes.
• Reflect review of current literature during lectures/discussions. Follow curriculum and be organized.
• When presenting a Lecture, be articulate and have a clear, understandable voice.
• Involve participants in program; e.g., questioning of their experience relevant to content examples.
• Acknowledge participant contributions and responds appropriately to questions.
• Utilize adult learning principles and incorporate cultural differences into presentation when appropriate.
• Collaborate with Program Coordinator to revise, update and improve ongoing programs.
• Encourage class participants to complete on-line class evaluation form.
• Maintain a current childbirth education certification.
