Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a Charge Nurse in Amarillo to lead nursing care and coordinate a multi-disciplinary team. In this role you will develop and oversee age‑appropriate care plans, promote patient-centered care, and uphold service excellence standards across shifts within a 495‑bed facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current Texas state nursing license.
• BLS certification maintained throughout employment.
• Able to pass pre-employment assessments.
• De‑escalation training within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assumes shift responsibility for planning and provision of nursing care.
• Coordinates multi-disciplinary team and guides nursing staff.
• Ensures patient safety and supports service excellence.
• Aligns activities with facility mission, vision and goals.
