Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current Texas RN license or permit to practice nursing in the State of Texas.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (or obtained during orientation) and maintain certification throughout employment.
• De-escalation training within 90 days of hire.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s).
• Ongoing compliance with demonstration of clinically pertinent competencies as determined by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Assumes shift responsibility for planning and providing direct and indirect nursing care.
• Coordinates multi-disciplinary team members, directs and facilitates nursing staff in obtaining safe, optimal health care outcomes.
• Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Maintains patient safety and adherence to patient-centered care standards.

Education
