Job summary

HMR Veteran's Services in Texas seeks an experienced RN Charge Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing staff and CNAs. The role emphasizes adherence to federal, state, and local standards while guiding daily clinical operations.

The ideal candidate holds a nursing degree or RN program completion, possesses an active RN license, and has prior long-term care leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved RN program.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active RN license in this state.
• Previous RN Charge Nurse experience in a long-term care community is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise day-to-day nursing activities of staff and CNAs.
• Ensure compliance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
• Oversee patient care plans and coordinate with healthcare team to maintain quality of care.

Responsibilities:

The RN Charge Nurse is responsible to provide direct nursing care to the residents, and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the Nursing Staff and the CNAs in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the facility.

Key Qualifications:

• Must have, at a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved Registered Nurse program.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in this state.
• Previous RN Charge Nurse experience in a long-term care community is preferred.
