Job summary

The Valley Health System in Southern Nevada seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for Utilization Management to improve discharge efficiency and maximize patient outcomes. You will collaborate with clinical teams to ensure safe, timely transitions.

Requires more than 3 years of varied clinical experience and UR/UM or case management exposure; Nevada RN license; strong data and discharge planning skills; growth opportunities within VHS system.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Minimum three years experience in varied clinical settings.
Two years experience in Utilization Review, Utilization Management or Case Management preferred.
Knowledge of social and physical factors that affect functional status at discharge.
Knowledge of community resources to meet post discharge clinical and social needs.

Responsibilities

Establish safe, individualized discharge plans to support quality healthcare outcomes.
Provide proficient timely utilization management services to maximize reimbursement.
Collaborate with patient, family and healthcare team to coordinate care.
Demonstrate proficiency with data collection/management tools.
