Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center in Maryland is seeking a professional nurse to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care from admission through discharge. You will collaborate with patients and families to coordinate delivery with the interdisciplinary team.

Minimum requirements include an Associate's degree in Nursing, 1–2 years RN experience, and active licensure. BSN preferred; CPR and perinatal EFM certification within 12–15 months are expected.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• BSN preferred; if prepared at associate level, enroll in BSN within 12 months and complete within 4 years.
• 1–2 years RN experience required.
• Active RN licensure in state of facility or compact state.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to department goals and adheres to policies, procedures, safety standards and MedStar SPIRIT Values.
• Collects and analyzes patient information related to physical, psychological, socio-cultural, economic and lifestyle factors.
• Delivers relationship-based nursing care using the nursing process with focus on patient experience.
• Identifies complex patient issues, analyzes trends and plans interventions.
