Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center seeks a registered nurse to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care from admission through discharge. You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, advocate for patients, and ensure safety and quality in every step of care.

The role requires 1–2 years of RN experience, ADN with BSN preferred, and active state licensure with CPR and EFM certifications as specified by department needs.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program required.
• BSN preferred; ADN holders must enroll in BSN within 12 months and complete within 4 years.
• 1-2 years RN experience required.
• Current RN licensure in state or compact jurisdiction; CPR certification required within 90 days; EFM certification within 12–15 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care from admission to discharge.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure patient safety.
• Advocate for patients and families, supporting ethical decision-making.
• Maintain documentation and comply with policies, regulations, and quality standards.
