Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center is seeking a registered nurse to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care from admission through discharge in collaboration with patients, families and the interdisciplinary team.

The position requires an Associate’s degree in Nursing, RN licensure, 1–2 years of RN experience, CPR, and C-EFM certification within specified timelines; a BSN is preferred. This on-site role features a competitive hourly rate and a mission‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years RN experience required
• RN state licensure required
• CPR/BLS for healthcare providers required
• C-EFM certification required within 12 months (15 months for new to specialty)
• Additional unit certifications may vary by department

Responsibilities

• Assess plans and coordinates nursing care from admission to discharge.
• Collaborate with patient, family and interdisciplinary team.
• Identify and address patient safety and quality concerns.
• Advocate for patients and communicate clinical concerns timely.
• Document and communicate patient information clearly in writing and verbally.
• Participate in meetings and quality improvement activities.
