Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center is seeking a registered nurse to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the nursing care of patients from admission through discharge.

In collaboration with the patient and family, you provide theory-based professional nursing care and coordinate care delivery with the interdisciplinary team. The role requires RN licensure, 1–2 years of RN experience, CPR certification, and unit-specific credentials such as EFM for perinatal care.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• BSN preferred; if prepared at ADN level, enroll in BSN within 12 months of hire date and complete within 4 years of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care from admission through discharge.
• Collaborate with patient and family; coordinate care with interdisciplinary team.
• Provide relationship-based care and promote patient experience while adhering to nursing process.
