UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill, NC seeks a per diem Clinical Nurse for the Cardiology and Oncology Stepdown Unit (COSU). The COSU is a 13-bed intermediate care unit offering growth opportunities and interdisciplinary teamwork around admissions, treatments, transfers, and discharges 24/7.

Responsibilities include delivering competent nursing care, coordinating patient care using the nursing process, and collaborating with the team to meet patient needs.

Formación

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• One year of relevant and current experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsabilidades

• Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.
• Coordinates and delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
• Education: identifies and meets learning needs of self and patient population.
• Evaluates and communicates care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Implements care for patients with complex problems and assists in discharge planning.
• Leads and collaborates to promote professional growth and unit goals.
• Performs comprehensive patient assessments and plans care with cultural sensitivity.
