Qualifications

• The RN's practice is guided by the ANA Standard for Professional Nurse and Code of Ethics.
• The RN records patients' medical history, administers medications, and supports nursing care planning.

Responsibilities

• Collect health data systematically to inform diagnoses and care plans.
• Develop and revise patient care plans that are family-centered.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and monitor patient responses.
• Document care and outcomes to support quality improvement.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
• Provide education to patients and families on management and home care.
• Mentor new staff and contribute to staff development.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust plans accordingly.
