Job summary

ProMedica Toledo Hospital is seeking a capable Access and Bed Planning RN for a part-time shift (6:30am - 7:00pm) in the Capacity Management command center. The role focuses on coordinating patient flow, bed planning, and transfers to optimize systemwide capacity.

Responsibilities include real-time bed management, admissions coordination, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe patient care. Prior experience in acute care and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Skills: Ability to apply clinical and operational protocols for admissions, transfers, and capacity coordination.
• Effective communication, collaboration, and multitasking skills within a high-volume environment.
• Proven accuracy in data entry and documentation.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn and navigate electronic health record systems.
• Years of Experience: 2-3 years acute care clinical experience.
• License: Current RN license in Ohio (and Michigan if applicable).
• Certification: BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient flow across the Capacity Management framework.
• Manage emergency and non-emergency transfers and real-time bed planning.
• Collaborate with house supervisors, EVS, facilities management and clinical leaders.
• Facilitate safe and efficient admissions.
