Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA seeks a RN Transfer Center Bed Flow Coordinator for full-time night shift (36 hours/week). The role coordinates patient transfers, assesses needs, and supports capacity management across units.

The candidate will have an RN license, 2 years of acute care experience, and may have ICU/ED/Transfer Center exposure. Salary includes base pay with potential incentives and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse.
• 2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Experience in ICU, ED or Transfer Center preferred.

Responsibilities

• Bed Flow Coordinator assesses, plans, develops, implements and evaluates plans of care for specific patient populations.
• Coordinates and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate patient placement or transfer.
• Communicates capacity management plan to nursing units, leadership and physicians.
