Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring a RN Transfer Center Bed Flow Coordinator. This full-time role is 36 hours per week on the night shift in a transfer-center setting, coordinating patient placement and transfers with a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate is a registered nurse with at least 2 years of acute care experience, with strong multitasking, typing and note-taking skills.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• 2 years recent acute care experience required.
• ICU/ED/Transfer Center experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, develop and evaluate care plans for patient populations.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for appropriate and timely patient placement or transfer.
• Communicate capacity management plans to nursing units, leadership and physicians.
