Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Bed Control/Transfer Center RN to coordinate and assign all beds and manage patient transfers. The role collaborates with ED, inpatient units, physicians to optimize patient flow and bed placement.

The ideal candidate has a BSN, 3–5 years RN experience in acute care, EPIC EMR proficiency, and leadership experience. Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BSN degree is required.
• 3–5 years RN experience in an acute care setting required.
• Experience in critical care or emergency/trauma preferred.
• EPIC EMR proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assign all beds at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.
• Evaluate, coordinate, process, screening, and document patient transfers.
• Collaborate with physician offices, ED, inpatient units and surgical services to facilitate patient flow.
• Assess patients for the most appropriate level of immediate care and bed placement.
• Use problem solving and customer service to determine best actions for patient and hospital.
