Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Bed Control/Transfer Center Registered Nurse to coordinate bed assignments and patient transfers. The RN will evaluate and process transfers, collaborating with ED, inpatient units, and surgical services to optimize patient flow and care.

Required BSN and 3–5 years of acute care RN experience, with EPIC EMR proficiency. Leadership experience as charge nurse is a plus, supporting hospital operations and patient care continuity.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• 3–5 years RN experience in acute care required.
• Proficient with EPIC EMR platform required.
• Charge nurse or higher leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and assigns beds at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.
• Evaluates, coordinates, processes, screens and documents patient transfers into PAH.
• Collaborates with ED, inpatient units, surgical services, and procedural areas to facilitate patient flow.
• Uses problem solving and customer service skills to determine the best course of action for patient, physician, and hospital.
