Qualifications

• English language proficiency required.
• Graduate of ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program.
• Current, full, active RN license in the United States.
• Foreign nursing graduates require degree equivalency validation.
• Reference VA Handbook 5005 Appendix G6.
• State licensure before permanent appointment after bridge program.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and educates staff on patient care and service quality.
• Leads unit rounds, ensures clinic operations and safety.
• Acts in absence of Nurse Manager and coordinates with ACNS.
• Maintains nursing schedules, leave records and compliance with policies.
• Supports staff development, education, and performance evaluation.
